USD 250 Foundation Mission
The Pittsburg USD250 Educational Foundation was founded in 2000 by a group of interested community members and the USD 250 Board of Education in order to maintain the excellence provided by Pittsburg Community Schools.
The Foundation's mission is to promote excellence of educational opportunities for all students through enhancement of school facilities, services and programs and to provide post-secondary scholarships for deserving students.
In addition to scholarships and teacher mini-grants, the foundation has helped with projects including complete renovation at Hutchinson Field, replacement of the PHS gymnasium floor, and most notably, the addition of the Megan Mallat Activity Center at Pittsburg High School.
The future of USD 250 remains bright; students are excelling and achieving excellence. However, access to excellence cannot be achieved through public funding alone. When public and private funding joins together, it is evident that greater things will happen.
