Tickets on sale for 2024 Night of the Dragons!

Tickets are on sale now for an event that raises money for scholarships for graduating seniors and teacher grants: the USD 250 Foundation’s 3rd Annual Night of Dragons, planned for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at Crestwood Country Club.

“It’s heartwarming to hear from past recipients just how much this scholarship has made a difference to them in starting and pursuing a college education,” said Foundation President Dawn McNay, “and to hear from our teachers about the impact the grants have in their classrooms.”

Attendees at Night of Dragons will enjoy food, drink, a silent auction, and social time. Single tickets are $75, with varying levels of support up to $2,500. They may be purchased at usd250foundation.org.

Event sponsors currently include the Coleman Family Foundation, Pittsburg Industrial Development Corporation, Marrone’s Inc., Midwest Minerals, Brenner Mortuary, and Pitt Plastics.

Those unable to attend but who want to support student scholarships or teacher grants may contribute at usd250foundation.org

About the Foundation:

The Foundation was founded in 2000 by a group of community members and the school board to promote educational opportunities for all students through enhancement of facilities, services, and programs, and to provide post-secondary scholarships for deserving students.

The Foundation is an avenue for private donations to support annual senior scholarships and teacher grants as well as facility upgrades, including Hutchinson Field, the Megan Mallet Activity Center at PHS, and the PHS gymnasium floor in years past, and current improvements to the softball field.
